Aeisha Robinson
Aeisha Robinson (33) is an Oncology Social Worker from Paterson, NJ. Just three months into starting her job, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Robinson states she feels her own diagnosis
allowed her to connect with her patients on a more personal level; building bonds based on shared strength and resilience. Throughout her journey, she’s learned to listen closely to her body and continue to put herself first. She also likes to thank her brother, for being her best friend, her motivation and her hero.

Bernidine Johnson
Bernidine Johnson (47) is the Vice President at State Street Bank. On September 14, 2023 Johnson was diagnosed with Triple Positive Stage 2B Breast Cancer. She describes that time in her life as difficult, “but by the grace
of God I fought and I won!”
Despite the battle, Bernidine likes to thank her twin sister, her husband, her family and friends for being her support system. She continues to encourage other warriors to be strong and P.U.S.H (Pray Until Something Happens).
Brooke Hansson
Jersey City native, Brooke Hansson (47) is a public art curator and the
Chief Administrative Services for the JC Dept. of Health and Human
Services. Diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer with a Mullarian Root,
Hansson likes to stay in the moment, remain grateful and laugh as much
as she can during her journey. She thanks her best friends Dennis and
Micheal, cousin Stephen, mother, sister and boss Stacey for their
unwavering support. Continuing on in her journey, Brooke encourages
others to find their faith and live in gratitude.


Donna
After a routine breast reduction surgery in July 2020, Donna was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. The Bayonne, NJ native was forced to schedule a double mastectomy shortly after, not allowing her much time to process the news. Trimblett recalls “I didn’t feel like a whole woman anymore…
But with the help of my family, friends, and the good Lord above, it made the journey a little easier”. She thanks her husband, mother, daughter, friends Tish and Dawn, Bayonne Rotary Club and the Bayonne Woman’s Club for being the support she needed during her journey. Now, at 56 Donna likes to volunteer her time to various organizations in her community.
Manija Mayel
After feeling some inflammation in October 2023, Manija Mayel (39) was officially diagnosed with HER2+ Stage 3 Breast Cancer in her right breast, and Estrogen + Stage 1 Breast Cancer in her left breast just two months later. After treatment and surgery, Manija had to adjust to her new body while simultaneously raising a teenager. She recalls “I kept it together for my child, community and kept myself busy but I was really struggling”. With the help of her social worker, acupuncturist, partner, and family, Manija was able to navigate her circumstances with a village to keep her educated and motivated. Now, she works as the Executive Chef at the Scandinavian School of Jersey City where she’s been running the plant based school program since 2013.


Ryan Lynch
Actor/Singer Ryan Lynch was only 25 years old when he was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in May of 2024. Hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas, Ryan took a leap of faith and moved to New York City. After finally finding his way around NYC, he temporarily moved back to Little Rock to live with his parents and focus on his health. Ryan mentions his parents and his Orange Theory family as his biggest influences during his journey. As GTW’s youngest cancer warrior, he notes that time is something he values more as this experience has forced him to learn how precious it can be.
